Helping people improve their family relationships has always been something that invigorates me. I decided to pursue this passion while serving in ministry with my husband. Couples would come to us for help with relationship difficulties. Parents who were having trouble with blended families and custody disagreements would turn to us for wise counsel. In our small community, we saw serious mental health needs that were not being met in the church, school, or the community, and we became aware of the lack of Christian based resources for these families. That’s when I began the journey to become a marriage and family therapist.

Along the way, I have learned a lot of theories about the way people and families work, but what has truly shaped the way I work with my clients is a deep belief that people can face problems that seem insurmountable when they face them with someone else. The strength of our relationships is what pulls us through and gives us courage to face the future. What that means for you is that, when we start working together as a couple or a family, we are going to be intentional in building moments of connection and belonging which will lead to healing. When you come in alone, it is my honor to walk with you through the turmoil that seems to be all around you. When you come to see me, my goal for you is that you feel like yourself again.
